Town of Zabok covers the surface of 34 km² and counts 9 365 inhabitants according to the population census from the year 2001.

Geographical position gives Zabok great opportunities for economic development. It is positioned in the heart of Hrvatsko zagorje near the freeway Zagreb – Macelj and it is the central railway junction for the county.

Zabok has 1 kindergarten, 1 elementary school that has one music school attached to it, 3 high schools – economic course, trade, hotel and tourism course, textile course, 3 universities – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Faculty of economics, Faculty of informatics, 1 common college and the school of foreign languages.

Price of buying an apartment in Zabok is 1 100 – 1 400 €/m², and under construction is a new housing  and business facility with the capacity of 30 apartments and two new living houses in the centre of the town of Zabok.
