Location


GREEN CROATIA REGION
is positioned in northwest part of Croatia and is consisted of three counties – Bjelovar – Bilogora County, Koprivnica – Križevci Couny and Krapina – Zagorje County. The total size of the Region is 5.606,89 km2 and counts 399.983 inhabitants. The density of the populated area is 82,48 residents per km2, , the highest density is 340,8 residents per km2 and the lowest 18,58 residents per km2


Bjelovar Bilogora County is positioned on the east side of Middle Croatia County group, in the heart of the most developed region of Croatia and a main road junction of European and Croatian motorways. The County is intersected by roads connecting Zagreb and Osijek and roads towards Varaždin and Koprivnica going through Čazma and Ivanić Grad and highways to Zagreb. The new road Zagreb – Bjelovar – Virovitica is under construction and will bring Bjelovar – Bilogora County even closer to Zagreb and will be a strong impulse to economy development

Koprivnica Križevci County is positioned in Pannonian macroregion, in the wider periphery of so called Zagreb Ring. It borders with five neighbouring counties (Međimurje, Varaždin, Virovitica – Podravina County, Bjelovar – Bilogora County and Zagreb County.)

Krapina Zagorje County is positioned on the northwest of Croatia. The west border, also a state line with Republic of Slovenia, is the river Sutla, and the east border is the Krapin and Lonja river basin. The County border with: on the north with Republic of Slovenia and Varaždin County, on the west with Republic of Slovenija, on the south with the Town of Zagreb and Zagreb County and on the east with Zagreb and varaždin County
